                      Begin The Journey

These simple lessons are designed to help you open your heart and quiet your mind so you can connect more deeply with the animals in your life.  True communication with animals begins not with words, but with presence - the ability to listen from the stillness of your heart.

Each lesson offers a short reflection and a gentle exercise to guide you toward greater awareness, calm and connection.

Move at your own pace, giving yourself time to feel, sense, and experience each step before going on to the next.  Begin with Lesson One and continue only when you feel ready.  At the end is a guided journey recording for you to practice putting all the lessons together to connect heart to heart with your animal to receive their loving Message of the Heart.

Lesson ONE: Letting Go

Intention:

To slow down, release distractions, and create a peaceful inner space where true                        connection can begin.

Why It Matters:

Animals live fully in the present moment.  They sense energy, emotion, and intention more clearly than words.

Before we can listen to them, we must first quiet our own busy thoughts and release the noise of the outside world.

Creating a space of calm allows your energy to soften - and your heart to open - so you can meet your animal with clarity and peace.

The Exercise: The Letting Go Box

1. Create your Space

Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed for at least fifteen minutes.  Turn off your       phone and all electronics.  This time is just for you.

2. Relax Your Body

Sit comfortably.  Take a slow deep breath in and exhale slowly and gently.  Repeat this              for a few breaths as you relax from the busy momentum of the outside world.

Starting at your feet tense and release each part of your body as you allow your body to            relax.  Tense and relax your feet, your legs, your stomach, your chest, your shoulders,                your arms and fingers, and your face.

With each breath feel yourself relaxing and settling deeper into calmness within you.

3. The Box Visualization

Imagine there is a box right outside your space.  This is your Letting Go Box.  One by one,         place all your worries, emotions, problems, concerns and to-do lists into the box. Go                 slowly and take your time.  With each item you place inside, feel your mind becoming                 lighter and clearer.

4. Close The Lid

When your box feels full, gently close the lid.  You may pick up your items later if you                 wish, but for now, it stays closed outside.

5.  Rest in Stillness

Sit quietly for five minutes, continuing to gently be aware of your inhale and exhale as                you allow yourself to simply be.  Notice the peace that grows as your mind becomes                  quiet and your heart begins to open.

When it becomes easy to let go of your busy mind and world for a short while, you are ready to move on to the next lesson.
